The Golden Ratio of Perhentian Islands

A vegan and a diver, I find myself contemplating the ethics of using animals for human entertainment. The harsh reality of commercial fishing is well-known, but what about the marine life we observe during our dives? The survival of the fittest in a protected ecosystem can seem inhumane, and it raises questions about the diver-observer relationship. After all, true freedom is a dolphin flipping in full flight without expecting applause.
